The main objective of the Smiles Workshops is to help needy women who
lack professional qualifications become productive by working
at home without having to leave their children.
The objectives of the workshops are the following:
- To ensure a means of subsistence to poverty-stricken families,
thus improving their standards of living
- To improve the morale of these individuals so that they can regain,
little by little, a taste for life by feeling that they are productive
and useful members of society
- To raise awareness in society about the problem of poverty
by selling the products that are crafted under the BASSMA label,
thus allowing BASSMA to touch a larger number of people.
These crafts are sold at various fundraising opportunities
throughout the year, such as exhibitions and fairs.
