Education is the cornerstone of Bassma Association’s social development efforts and the foundation of any thriving society. When the education system falters, the entire social fabric is at risk.
Bassma is proud to highlight the success of its partnership with LIFE and LebNet through the Lebanon Education Emergency Fund (LEEF), an initiative launched during the 2024 war to support Lebanese families facing growing hardship from both the conflict and the ongoing financial crisis, ensuring that every child has the chance to continue their education.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to LEEF, whose generous support has enabled us to stand beside the most vulnerable students in our community—especially those displaced by war, who have endured fear, instability, and the absence of life’s basic necessities.
Thanks to the LEEF initiative, Bassma was able to provide:
250 displaced students across 27 schools throughout Lebanon received essential assistance with school tuition, giving them a renewed opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
313 students in 4 schools benefited from psychosocial support sessions, helping them cope with the emotional and social challenges resulting from the September 2024 war.
This project also ensured the continuity of our team’s efforts—allowing us to maintain impactful programs and long-term support to vulnerable families.
Through initiatives like this, we are not only helping children stay in school—we are empowering families, restoring dignity, and strengthening the fabric of society.
We thank LIFE and LebNet for their trust, generosity, and partnership in making this mission possible.
